Hello Camp Families,

We hope that you and your family are keeping safe during this time.

Camp Banting always has been committed to providing the highest well-being and safety to the community that we serve. As a medical camp, we maintain that public health must always come as a top priority.

Due to the uncertainty of the current COVID-19 pandemic and our abundance of caution to protect the health and well-being of our campers, volunteers and staff, we have made the very difficult decision to suspend the Camp Banting program this summer.  We have notified our facility and donors. Families who have made payments towards camp fees will see their payments refunded in May.

We know that it seems hard to imagine a summer without camp. But we also know that the support and connection we get from the Camp community is more than the physical site and the activities that we do. For over 65 years, Camp Banting has safely delivered unforgettable and empowering experiences for children, youth and young adults and their families impacted with type 1 diabetes.  As we look forward to 2021, we’ll be looking for other programming opportunities both virtually and in-person.  This may include webinars and overnight programs potentially during December or March Break.  We’d also welcome suggestions from you, as our camp community has been a driving force behind what we do.
